On Friday 17th June we went for our 20 week scan and found out that there was a 90% chance we were having a baby girl. More importantly the scan showed that all was well with her development too! Hurrah!
I was so excited that I called my sister to see if she wanted to go shopping after work to buy a celebratory girls outfit. We went to the closest shops and looked at all the baby clothes in Mothercare, Next and Gap. We had no idea what size to buy so after we had scouted around the 3 shops we decided Mothercare had the best options. We then pestered a member of staff to tell us what size we should be buying for a new born baby. She recommended buying clothing for 10lb baby weight so there was growing into space.
So I settled on the lovely pink spotty pram suit shown in the photo!
Since our challenge I have checked on the label to see where it was made and found it was China. So now I’m torn! It’s quite a sentimental purchase because it celebrated the good news of our 20 week scan. But it’s made in China…
I’ll see, it might have to go back and be exchanged for something else that’s made in the UK. Watch this space and I’ll update this post if I decide to return it to Mothercare!
